The system tells you it is failing. Usually out loud.

That noise

Bang, squeal, rattle, hiss

Heating and cooling equipment makes a small number of distinct noises, and each one points at a short list of causes. A few mean switch it off now. Most mean book a visit this week. One or two you can deal with yourself in ten minutes.

Pick the sound you are hearing and the page tells you which of those three it is.

What we do

Two kinds of customer, both properly served

The work is not the same. A house has one system and one person deciding; a building has several systems, a schedule and somebody who has to justify the spend.

Homes

Repairs, replacements, thermostats, ducts and air quality for houses across Irving.

  • Cooling and heating repairs, diagnosed before quoted
  • Replacement sized from the house, not the old box
  • Duct sealing, returns and rooms that never keep up
  • Thermostats and zoning that behave predictably

Business

Service, planned maintenance and replacement for offices, shops, clinics and light industrial units.

  • Rooftop and split system service and change-outs
  • Planned maintenance with a written record per unit
  • Server and equipment rooms that run warm all year
  • Tenant fit-outs and suites that changed use
How a visit goes

No surprises in the middle of the job

  1. We listen to the descriptionWhat it is doing, since when, and what changed just before.
  2. We measureTemperatures, pressures, airflow and the electrical side — whichever the symptom points at.
  3. We price the repair in writingWith the alternatives, where there is more than one honest option.
  4. You decideAnd if the sensible answer is to plan a replacement instead, we say that plainly.

Questions

Asked often enough to answer here

My system is making a noise. Is it urgent?

It depends which noise. A bang when the heat lights, a grinding sound or a hum outside with the fan stopped all mean switch it off. Our sound guide sorts the common ones into stop now, book this week, or check it yourself.

Do you charge to diagnose a fault?

There is a charge for the diagnostic visit, and you get the fault and the repair price in writing before any work starts. We will tell you the figure when you book.

Do you work on commercial buildings?

Yes — rooftop units, split systems, planned maintenance and fit-out work for offices, shops, clinics and light industrial units, alongside the residential side.

One room is always warmer than the rest. Can that be fixed?

Usually. It is most often airflow rather than equipment: a long or crushed duct, an unbalanced register, or no way for air to get back out of the room when the door is shut. We measure the room first.

Should I repair or replace?

We price the repair, tell you what the system is likely to need next, and let you compare. We do not push a replacement on a system that has years left in it.
